I started running around 15 years ago when I signed up for the Canberra Times Fun Run Training program for a 10k run.

I made a great friend the very first day, and after completing the program I joined a club in Canberra called Females in Training (FIT).

It was life changing.

A few months after joining the club I did my first triathlon, a few months after I did a half marathon, and then a few years later I did a full marathon.

Since joining FIT I have made so many wonderful new friends, have travelled in various areas in Australia with groups of friends and have had many celebratory breakfasts, lunches, and dinner.

A highlight for me was doing the Port Macquarie Ironman a few months ago and having such wonderful support from family and my friends at FIT. I am now a volunteer triathlon coach, and love giving back to my club and community. I now feel FIT and strong, and most of all - happy!

I've been having a rest from the Ironman, however, am planning to do the Sydney marathon in a few months. (again, with some wonderful running buddies) Running has changed my life!
